Why work with DAS for After The Event (ATE) insurance?

Our ATE Products Who we are

Our goal

Our main aim is to help deliver fair outcomes for mutual clients, assisting access to justice by insuring the risk of litigation. We provide a bespoke offering to meet the specific needs of our solicitor partners and their clients along with unmatched industry expertise, specialist sector knowledge, and innovative thought leadership.

Strong heritage

We are an A-Rated insurer and part of the ERGO Group, one of Europe’s largest insurance groups (ERGO is also part of the Munich Re Group, one of the world’s largest reinsurers).

Market leading experience

Our wealth of experience tell us that no two law firms are the same, so we therefore provide a tailored offering to meet the specific needs of our partners and their clients along with unmatched industry expertise, specialist sector knowledge, and innovative thought leadership.

First-class service

We partner with well-established and credible solicitor business partners. Potential partners are rigorously vetted on their performance and delivery of successful customer outcomes.  We are the trusted ATE partner for many of The Legal 500 and 94% of solicitors are satisfied or extremely satisfied with us (survey undertaken December 2017).

Meet the team

Flexible underwriting

We underwrite our own products, providing us with the control, flexibility, and speed to meet your specific needs rather than only offering a ‘one size fits all’ service.  We work alongside specialist partners and afford them delegated authority in areas that are traditionally classified as non-standard in the market. This enables your subject experts to define their own terms.

We are also able to offer individual underwriting for large commercial cases and delegated acceptance for clinical negligence and personal injury. We even consider delegated acceptance for smaller commercial schemes.

Mutual respect

We do not impose onerous reporting requirements so you can get on with the business of running the claim and best serving your clients.

We also work with specialist brokers regarding all aspects of ATE insurance.
