Many brokers and law firms have chosen to partner with DAS.
Here you can find out why our partners choose us, and how you can join them.
If you want to make a commercial legal expenses insurance claim, follow the step-by-step guide below.
If you have a commercial legal expenses policy, please check the wording to find your policy number. This will allow us to help you as quickly as possible.
Now that you have your policy number to hand you can give us a call using the phone number stated in your documents, or you can start an online claim.
Our team will now get to work assessing your claim to see if you are covered. If you are covered we will send the details of your claim to our lawyers so that they can complete a legal assessment.
Your lawyer will now look over the details to decide if you are likely to win your case. This is called ‘reasonable prospects of success’ and you need to have a 51% chance, or better, of winning your case in order to proceed.
Your lawyer will manage your case from start to finish, your prospects of success need to remain above 51%. Don’t worry we will keep you informed throughout the process and work with you to decide what additional supporting information and evidence may be needed.
Who will represent me?
In our experience most cases reach a settlement without the need to go to court with both sides reaching an agreement. Your lawyer will decide if the settlement is deemed to be “reasonable”. At no time must you accept any settlement without seeking advice first from your lawyer.
What does settlement mean?
Will I have to go to court?
If an agreement can’t be reached, there may be a need to go to court, but don’t worry your lawyer will manage your case through this process and help you prepare should you need to attend.
