DAS UK recognises the needs of both the rural and urban communities. For our rural customers in particular, DAS UK’s legal advisors have experience across a range of agricultural matters such as farm business tenancies, grazing agreements, animals (including equine), and public rights of way as well as other legal matters affecting the wider rural community such as fly tipping and managing trespassers.
Simon manages a team of experienced legal advisers in the legal advice department. His main area of expertise is employment law, having worked in this area throughout his career advising both commercial and personal clients.
His main aim is to ensure that our clients get the most out of their legal expenses insurance cover as well as finding ways to provide alternative legal services to ensure exactly the right customer outcome is achieved.
He regularly provide external training to clients on employment matters. In addition, he supervises trainee solicitors and CILEX graduates that do a training seat within the legal advice department.
He has built strong partnerships with the University of South Wales and the University of the West of England and regularly attends law fairs, legal advice clinics and arranges work experience placements. Simon is a regular contributor on legal matters for social media, traditional/online media including national newspapers, and broadcast outlets such as local radio.
It is always rewarding to assist people in their legal queries, but within agricultural law and the complexities that this area entails, it is so fulfilling to be able to provide resolutions to farmers and landowners in their hour of need.

Nicole and her team assist with a wide range of legal issues, particularly consumer issues, property disputes and employment law.
She is committed to ensuring that every client receives an efficient and great service. To achieve this in legal advice, her team provides clients with clear and concise advice, giving options which seek not only to ensure the best possible outcome, but which also avoid the stresses of litigation.
Nicole’s main area of expertise is employment law. She is highly passionate about helping employees and employers resolve their workplace disputes, and has vast experience in drafting legal documents such as contracts of employment and settlement agreements.
I find helping policyholders out with their legal issues really rewarding and satisfying, especially when it comes to areas of law such as employment, property and agricultural law; they’re areas of law that you can really get your teeth into.

Gillian is responsible for a team of 12 legal advisers who provide telephone legal advice to commercial and personal clients. The team are highly competent, hard-working, dedicated professionals who provide an excellent quality service to our clients.
Her main area of expertise is employment law, although the team on the legal advice helpline has a wealth of legal knowledge with the ability to provide advice and assistance on a wide range of legal issues including employment, property, consumer, crime, family and probate.
